My NYC Volunteer's Passport

My NYC Volunteer’s Passport

It’s official!!!!!!! I’m so happy. 😀 I finally did it. Sent an application earlier at the NYC Office to volunteer and be a part of their programs, seminars, events & a lot more that’s going to be probably about my own beloved country, Philippines, of course; socio economic state of the country (as awareness for the youth) & if possible, extending to South East Asian Nations and Japan.

So, why volunteer?

Funny enough, when I was on my way, I’ve met a handful of people at the BF Building, which is where NYC is located on the fifth floor. The usual Pinoy Bayanihan Spirit, I’ve encountered warm conversations from the moment I entered the building up to arriving to the 5th floor! See, that’s why i love the Pilipino spirit. 😉 But then, why volunteer? It’s because instead of just whining or complaining about what’s going on in our community, city, country, why don’t we do something about it? Or contribute little things that we can with what we have and with what we can do, to make our community, city and country a better place to live in? After all, what you sow is what you reap, right?

After that, I was so happy to get my Volunteer’s Passport. See, the moment you volunteer, its number of hours will be recorded and you are given this passport as your records for volunteering which serves as your points for later use, especially for their youth programs.
