#TheGameChangersPH

Hash-tag #TheGameChangersPH, I just have been to an empowering, creative and unconventional convention this week, so far! Thanks to the efforts of the Office of Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona III, Ateneo School of Government and the Kaya Natin! Movement for Ethical Leadership and Good Governance with invited speakers, Anna Oposa, Delfin Villafuerte, Noel Cabangon, Pepe Diokno and Dingdong Dantes.

It was really overwhelming! Each one of us has the capacity and ability to do something big for our country without limits or any measurements.

Ms. Anna Oposa inspired us to save the Philippine seas and to care for our environment.

Mr. Delfin Villafuerte moved us with the purpose of why teach in the Philippines.

Mr. Noel Cabangon was charming enough to serenade with his composed OPM songs, ode to our country!

Mr. Pepe Diokno’s message of patronizing our own Philippine made movies, culture, artist and heritage was the very message I have been waiting for someone to frankly speak about so that hopefully, people will begin to see.

Mr. Dingdong Dante’s life story was perhaps very relatable and challenging, a good thing to be bothered about.

And on summary, this was a call to love and care for your own country, do and accomplish great things for the benefit of it. The call to the generation of youth, today’s future & hope and for the generations and generations to come.

French Film Festival 2013

Another Alliance Française de Cebu event, the 18th French Film Festival takes the big screens with Ayala Cinema 3 & 4 this July 5 & 6 with 5 of their exemplary french films. See here.

I was privileged enough to watch Cycling with Moliere (Alceste a Bicyclette) & Camille Rewinds (Camille Redouble). But then, I was unfortunate not to take pictures of the setting because my phone’s battery died by the time I was there.

They were giving away leaflets for their organization information & for French cultural exchange.

Apologies again for the low quality photo. And oh, this event is free admission. Be sure to invite your friends who are interested because really, there are just a lot of seats in the cinema to fill in! I know I have my own country and I love it but for sure, diversity, a little bit of cultural exchange & liberal arts has never harmed anyone and I personally think that it helps widen out one’s perspectives & horizons that someday, it might help you to become the person that has so much to contribute or offer to the planet where were living while we still live.

Bisous. :*

Josh & Reina Weds!

Recently, on April 12th to be exact, my maternal Uncle Josh, who arrived from his tour bunch of countries awesome job, being a seaman, marries Reina for the second time! The first one was through civil and this time, off to church they go!

Families, relatives and friends were invited to witness their church wedding. My brother & I were told to be at my grandparent’s house at 10 o’clock sharp to have our preparations done. After that, we were instructed to go to Cebu Grand Hotel to which they had their after wedding took place for dinner and some activities that covers it.

I never knew it was dragging to held a wedding event such this! No pun intended but see, I’ve witnessed everything (well, most of it), from preparations, pictorials, make ups & clothing enhancements to the actual service for the wedding & the after wedding ceremonies. Which I personally to prefer to get something done in a direct manner, but it’s their big day and we respect them for it. 🙂

Pictures I’ve taken along:

Congratulations couples!

Sums & Queues, I’m Raged To Be Back! x A1 Band Pre Concert

I’m baaaaaaack! I know it’s a crying shame that I haven’t been updating what’s going on since. But as time goes by, weeks has been crazy and right now, Visayas is currently under a typhoon named Pablo, storm signals varies as to where the location is. I’ve heard massive landfalls from the breaking news & flash floods due to the typhoon in various places in the south/southern part of Visayas. But currently not much insane storm signs in the central part of Cebu (where I’m in).

So to sum it up, this day haven’t been productive at all, maybe except for a little bit of customization for this blog and having mum’s visitor came over (which isn’t obviously a big deal. i write as far as i can remember..).

On queues:

  • still waiting for Bryle’s videos & more photos of A1 band during their concert and pre appearances in Cebu.
  • my date plans with Chiara, Gianna Banana & Harem to already took place hopefully this week + my bro, probably!
  • lots’a plaaans with Gianna Banana
And since I’ve been urgently wanting to post about A1 when they were here singing in Cebu, here are some pics my friend, Bryle took. My attempts of taking some shots were so poor in angle. 😦

PS i might post a video of A1 sooon after i get to edit & clean up background noises when they were singing.

That’s it for now. But more for later 😉

Happy Late Thanksgiving!

I really hate it when my things got kind of out of place when it comes to planning stuff but it never happens. There’s no point planning at all! It’s useless. A lot of times I’ve been trying to scribble something in this blog, but I can’t seem to find the right words and timing that would lit up a spark. Nonetheless, I can say that I’ve been procrastinating all this time but I had errands that are still on queue and bunch of times that I’m planning to do events that I’m hopefully going to attend.

These past few days that I can self proclaim on being a busy bee, I remember having an LSS (Last Song Syndrome) on the song that my friend, June Angelie, introduced me during our idleness. Yeah, not much on my kind of music but I find myself somehow drawn to it which probably explains the LSS.

Just A Kiss by ladyantebellum
What do you think?

Anyways, I could somehow state my little contribution to the day given completed task of finishing my mum’s Challenge of Acceptance Speech after having to dine outside with my fambam & doing a little shopping.

And also, I’m glad to finally change my facebook cover and have it personalized!

Keep you posted! 🙂

Happy Birthday, Gianna Banana!

I honestly don’t know where to begin with explaining or stating why I just miss one of my close friend’s birthday party!

It was randomly a breezy afternoon when she invited me to her party just in front of her flat when we went for a hike last Wednesday. I remember talking to her about most random things, thoughts & stories we share. I even promised to give her a Spanish language pack torrent link for her to download which I did eventually. But then, I lost track of time and as for my usual habit, I begin to daydream about most things of my life, bulks of thoughts would then rapidly increase as if they were skyscrapers rising from the ground.
But I’m not saying that I’m not thinking about this good old friend. Needless for everybody to know, it’ll just take minutes or even seconds on how a person’s life’s situations dramatically change or be put into an action, unexpectedly whether he/she wants it or not.
Enough of this blahs I’ve mentioned, I realized, would it change how situations went for the past, say, 2 hours? 3? Or 7 hours? Doubt it though. Right now, I couldn’t have done anything to alter things way back then. I couldn’t just say that I received her message later than expected or it was such on a short notice. Apologizing would be a good idea. But I want something better, something that I could make it up to her!
Gianna Banna (a.k.a My Hollywood Banana) has been ultimately a cute, good, blunt, lasting friend of mine who I couldn’t just loose and live without! It’s just not that right. I honestly thought it’s just right for me to give her some space in this blog since I terribly did her wrong by missing out on her party! Here are things that I could describe with  my own ways of perspection and sight.
Lovely! Even if she believes it or not, she’s full of beauty in my eyes (and I know others see it too).
Blunt & Witty. She usually doesn’t talks a lot but when she does, it definitely makes sense. : )
An Angel Looking Lassie. Your arguments are invalid!
An Anime Buff. Nuffsaid.
A Righty! She always seeks to do the right thing. I know. (everyone knows that she’s a good person inside – out).
A Blessing in disguise.
I’m really sorry I missed your party! I feel so horrible to even missed your birthday because we’ve been friends for a long time and you get nothing from me. I hope I can tell you how much of a good friend you are and how much you’ve been a blessing for me since then. I also hope I could make it out to you sooner or later. I lost track & I won’t try to make stupid excuses now because I was so reckless that I wasn’t there on your special day. But, I wanted to thank you for coming into my life and for being one of my good friends who brought joys, rainbows & smiles in my lifetime! I pray that you’ll be continually a blessing to your family, friends & others as well. And that they will be blessed by you, too! I also pray for encouragement to further continue on your studies and wisdom and protection that will guide our way to success & growth. It’s your special day, so I ask God that He will reveal Himself to you and enlighten you with His Spirit, guidance & anointing. This I ask & pray. In Thy Mighty Name. Amen.
P.S. i hope you’re not mad at me! 😦
